MSP Cheer

MSP Cheer Club is proud to now offer year-round programming for athletes to learn foundational cheer skills which include cheering, stunting, basic tumbling, and prop work in a supportive environment. Our inaugural program will start with the 2026 football season and run from July-October.

 

FOOTBALL CHEER PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Our football cheer season will run from July-October with the option of just attending weekly clinics to build on skills but can include the added option of cheering on the sideline for MSP football games around the greater Indy area. This is being offered to children in kindergarten through 6 th grade (for the 2026-2027 school year). Athletes opting to sideline cheer for football games are guaranteed a spot and placed on a team
based on grade level and/or sibling requests. All participants in the cheer programs receive a shirt (included in registration)

 

CLINICS AND GAMES
Clinics will be indoors at the MSP practice facility and will be held once a week on Mondays or Wednesdays, depending on what is selected during registration. These will be led by adult coaches alongside “junior coaches” that are current local high school cheerleaders. They will start in late July. For those opting to cheer at football games, those will start in August and are on Saturdays around the Indy area. Transportation to
football games will not be provided by MSP.

 

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT AND DRESS
Athletes attending the weekly clinics-only option will just need to attend weekly clinics in athletic clothing, athletic shoes (cheer shoes strongly encouraged), hair pulled back, and no jewelry.  Athletes opting to participate in sideline cheer at football games will be purchasing the uniform upon registration. This uniform includes hair bow, poms, a sleeveless athletic polo, and black athletic skirt. White cheer shoes and black briefs are also mandatory items that families need to purchase separately. These items can be ordered through Amazon (search “white cheer shoe” or “black cheer briefs”) or any sporting goods store.Briefs just need to be black and are the same style as biker shorts and Nike Pros. They do not have to be a specific brand.  Cheer shoes just need to be white.
